Moments that make a Momma Proud

You know that you are always Proud of your children. Everyone's Crow is the Blackest right?? Or at least that is what my Grandma used to say.  There are moments in life that you will remember when you are 85 with silver hair and rocking in your chair on your porch. You will recall  them and smile. Sunday was one of those days.  I had the HONOR of attending the baptism of our first born, Miss Sarah-Alice Preslee Lyle.  She is only 9 years old, and she loves the Lord with all her heart. I made God a Promise many years ago. See what many of you may or may  not know is that I was infertile.  I tried for 8 + years to conceive. I prayed and prayed for a baby. I even begged God. We did finally conceive and we lost our first baby, she is in heaven with Jesus.  ( I was almost 4 mths pregnant) ....but God gave me a promise in his word, that if I believe, I would have my hearts desire and my desire was to have a child.    Preslee is my answered prayer. She is the child that doctors said I might never have. You see I promised God that if he would just give me a child, just one, of my own, birthed or adopted, that I would raise that child to know him and his works, and his word. Of course God has given me two more answered prayers as well. His Grace and Mercy and Bountiful Blessings are Amazing.  So you see this past Sunday was Amazing to me, I stood in our church, the same church where I aked God for this child and  watch her profess her love for God.  I am so Thankful!! God is so Good! I can never Thank him for all he has done in my life.

This is a Moment that makes a Momma VERY PROUD ~

My Answered Prayer -  Sarah-Alice "Preslee" Lyle

  3. Thanks for sharing your miracle! I too went through 2 years of infertility and did the same as you- prayed and prayed for a baby. Promised to teach him about God and raise him knowing the true joy that only comes from God. We finally concieved him (although it was through IVF) we still felt God in control and He sent us Andrew. And his special heart added a whole new dimension of understanding God's ways. AMAZING that he not only trusted us with a child, but trusted us enough to make us a HEART family!

Congratulations on all of your miracles! :)

  6. Glad she has chosen her own path in life - the right one! With Ethans surgery I was sorely tempted to baptize my children even though they arent old enough to make the decision themselves. Im glad you have allowed her to make that decision, I beleive that they will have a stronger faith that way.

Thank you for your support and prayers xxx we may be 'H' soon!!! :) lots of love Sam & Ethan
